Do I need to create an online account to use the pool?
- If you’re visiting for the first time or are a guest of a member, you do not need an account. Simply sign in as a guest upon each visit and pay the entry fee based on your residency status within the School District.
- If you plan to use our facilities regularly, we recommend creating a free RecDesk account. Your account will make future visits easier, allowing you to manage purchases, memberships, and registrations all in one place.
Do I need an account to register for swim lessons, classes, or other VASD aquatic programs?
- Yes, you must have a RecDesk account in order to register for any program.
What is your refund, credit, and cancellation policy?
- VASD Aquatic Center/Natatorium has a No-Refund policy. However, full refunds are given only if the VASD Aquatic department cancels a class. A prorated refund may be given only if severe illness or injury prevents participation. In the case of an eligible situation for a refund, a household credit will be applied.
- Regarding Swim Lessons: individuals will not be eligible for a refund if they A) register their swimmer or themselves for more than one session at a time, B) have placed their student in an incorrect class, or C) if they choose to cancel and/or withdraw from a class.
Are the pools tested daily for water quality and chemical balance?
- Yes, our supervisors and lifeguards are trained to check the water quality (of each pool) 4 times a day.
Where can I store my personal belongings while using the pool?
- Lockers are available for guests at no charge at both VASD Aquatic Facilities (Natatorium and Aquatic Center). Patrons must supply their own lock.
Can people who do not live in the Verona Area School District use the facilities?
Yes, everyone is welcome!
- Residents of the Verona Area School District qualify for the resident rate, while those living outside the district are charged the non-resident rate.
Can I rent the Aquatic Center or Natatorium for private events or group activities?
- Yes, VASD allows rental of either of the Aquatic Facilities. Facility rental information is available on our website.
Is lap swimming available in the Warm Water Pool?
- Yes, you can lap swim in the Warm Water Pool. Up to three lanes may be available for lap swimming in the Warm Water Pool.
If I purchase a senior (62+) exercise punch pass, can I also use it for Open Swim or Lap Swim?
- No, Senior (62+) Exercise Punch Passes are only for Water Exercise classes.
Do punch passes expire?
Don’t worry, your punches won’t expire!
- Your punch pass is valid for 10 years from the date of purchase. Individual punches do not expire; however, the pass will “expire” once all punches have been redeemed.
How do I register for swim lessons or aquatic programs?
- Log in to your RecDesk account, browse the program list, select your desired program, and follow the prompts to complete your registration. Our program offerings are updated regularly, so check frequently!
How do I know which swim lesson level is appropriate for my child?
- You can review our swim level descriptions. This information will help you better understand the skills and requirements needed for each level.
- You’re also welcome to visit our facilities during open swim hours to request a swim assessment. Please note that regular entry fees apply.
What happens if a class is canceled due to weather or facility issues?
- We ensure that any sudden changes to our schedules are promptly communicated through email notifications, monthly newsletters, website pop-up alerts, and updates on our social media channels. We encourage all guests to check our online calendar before visiting to stay informed of any last-minute updates.
- If a class is cancelled while you are at the facility or after payment has been processed, we will issue a full refund. You can have your punch added back onto your membership or receive a free swim pass as compensation for the missed session.

What are the current admission fees, program fees, and punch pass options?
- Entry fees and memberships vary depending on your residency status within the VASD School District.
What rules and safety guidelines should I be aware of before using the facility?
- You can familiarize yourself with pool rules and regulations on our website.
What are the supervision requirements for children at the pool?
- Children under age 8 must be accompanied by a responsible person 15 years of age or older.
- Children under age 7 must be actively supervised by an adult in the water and within arm’s reach.
- One adult (18+) must be present for every 2 children ages 6 and under.
- Any child under 12 must be actively supervised by an adult in the pool area. Children over the age of 12 may swim unaccompanied by an adult.
- Swimmers under the age of 12 must pass a swim test on site to be allowed in the deep end.
Are lifeguards on duty at all times when the facility is open?
- Yes, we have certified lifeguards on duty whenever the facility is open for swimming.
Are lifejackets, kickboards, or other equipment available for use?
- Yes, we offer a variety of equipment for community use. If you don’t see the item you’re looking for on the pool deck, please ask a lifeguard for assistance.
- If you’re planning on bringing your own lifejackets or other flotation devices, please make sure that the flotation device US Coast Guard approved. A Coast Guard approval label or mark should be located on the inside of any approved life jacket.
Are showers required before entering the pool?
- Yes, Wisconsin state regulations require individuals to shower immediately before entering a public pool and after using toilet facilities.
What accessibility accommodations are available at the Aquatic Center and Natatorium?
- We provide multiple accessibility accommodations at both facilities, including accessible entrances, family changing rooms, and pool-side lifts. Caregivers accompanying a swimmer with a disability receive free admission when their assistance is required for safe and meaningful participation.
